Church facilities

Approaching 10 years ago God blessed DCF with a building which we aim to use exclusively for His glory, the teaching of His Word and for fellowship with one another.  As such the church or hall is not available for hire, although is occasionally offered for use by those in the church family here.  The only non-church family use of the building is as a polling/voting station during local and national elections.

We are blessed with a main church that seats around 100 people, and a hall that is used both for our Sunday School and for fellowship on a Sunday morning.  We also use the hall for our weekly Bible studies, Little Livewires, Livewires and Youth Club.

The hall is equipped with a kitchen area used for tea/coffee after services, but also for fellowship meals that we have from time to time, as well as our dEcAf coffee bar which takes place after each Sheer Praise.

Smaller meetings take place in the Mayflower room - including our monthly men's Bible study and men's Prayer Breakfast, Lifestyle - our weekly ladies Bible study, Fire Exit! - our Youth Bible study and for crèche on a Sunday morning.  This room also contains a small library of books and DVD's that are free for the church family to borrow.

We are also blessed with a number of other rooms that we use for storage, an office area for our Pastor and other areas of ministry.

There are toilets available inside which, as with all the building, offer easy access for the disabled/elderly.  There are additional toilets outside, however these are currently in need of refurbishment.

Outside we are blessed with a car park with 17 spaces (including 2 disabled bays), although the field is used as an overflow on busy occasions.  We are grateful to God for the well-sized church field that we use for our annual Livewires sports day/BBQ, Youth Club games (when weather permits) and for other times of fellowship/BBQ's etc.

Because the church complex is surrounded by a wall, the field is also safe for children to play after Sunday morning services (again, weather permitting) with a fence dividing it from the car park.

As a church we encourage adult baptism as an outward sign of what Christ has done for and in an individual and the church has a baptistery which is covered when not in use (for more details of what we believe click here).
