Podcasts explained, and help with
downloads
Podcasts are an easy way to set
your computer and/or music player (iPod/Phone etc) to automatically
download the latest Bible studies from the DCF web site. Once
set up, your computer will regularly check for new studies - and if
one is available it will automatically download it, without
needing you to check manually.
If using iTunes, you can also
have new studies copy automatically to your iPod, iPhone, or iPad
when you sync them.
To subscribe to our DCF:AM and
Bible Study Podcasts in iTunes, copy one of the blue links below and then open
iTunes, click on the Advanced menu and Subscribe to Podcast... Then
paste and click OK. You will then receive automatic downloads of the
latest teaching each week (note: you can change how frequently your
computer checks for updates).
NEW:
You can now download videos of our Sunday morning Bible studies
(including the scripture slides/maps/pictures etc). All sizes of our
video Podcasts can be played on iPod touch, iPhone, iPad and Apple
TV. Most other smart-phones will also play these videos - if

If you are having trouble with
our downloads then please feel free to contact us by email to

ask at any DCF event. However, there are some basic tips shown
below;
Can I get the latest audio or
video automatically?
Yes - to do this you will need a
computer and internet access, and also a media player such as iTunes
(there are several available but iTunes is the easiest for us to
help you with).
In addition to allowing you to
store music on your computer you can also use the links above to set
your media player to automatically download the latest teaching
automatically. This means that your computer will check the
DCF web site at regular intervals (usually once a week, or once per
day) to see if there is any new teaching available - and if so it
will download them.
The advantage of this is that you
will not have to wait for a download to complete as it will be ready
and waiting for you - however remember that your computer will need
to be on, connected to the internet and likely your media player
will need to be open too for this check to take place.
How do I watch video on my
computer, phone or iPod?
There are three ways - either by
signing up to our Podcasts as described on this page, or by watching
online. To watch immediately online, go to the book of the
Bible in our verse by verse section
and then (if available) click on the WATCH NOW button of the
teaching that you want to watch now.
Finally you also download
specific studies, also from the book pages in our
verse by verse section - starting
with Genesis you can
download video too!
Can I watch the study videos
on my TV?
Yes - You can download our
studies to an Apple TV or computer and connect them to your TV (and
other media players can also do this). Coming soon we will
have advice on how you can do this via Apple TV directly.
How do I download video for
watching later?
To download specific video
studies, go to the book pages in our
verse by verse section. Please note that not all of our studies
are available in video form - only those recorded since the end of
2010 may be available to watch.
